Below are a selection of the most common questions we are asked regarding your stay here at The Smugglers Rest Bed and Breakfast.

While we’ve done the best we can to include useful information to help plan your stay with us, we know we may have missed one or two things so please contact us with your questions and we will get back to you as soon as we possibly can. We might even add your question to this page?!

What is the best way to book our stay?

You can book your stay at The Smugglers Rest Bed and Breakfast here, on our secure website. Just click on the “Check availability” button and enter your required dates and how many people to see what we have available. We also have relationships with other local accommodation in/near Mortehoe so if we don’t have room available we might well be able to find you something!

We are also affiliated with all the major, national, and regional travel websites, including Expedia, Booking.com, Trivago and many more, so you can book online in complete confidence.

What time is check in? And can you check in early?

Check in is at 3pm each day. Should you be arriving earlier and your room is not available, you may leave your luggage with us free of charge until later when you can check in. Why not enjoy a drink and maybe some delicious food in our newly refurbished Miss Fea’s Cafe?

Do you do weekly rate packages on rooms?

Yes, have a look at our Accommodation webpage or call /email us for any current specials on staying at the B and B. We do weekly or 5 day week rates.

Do we need our own linen and towels?

No, everything is provided in the room. Linens, towels, hairdryer, toiletries; and tea/coffee facilities. All you would need to bring with you are the things you need for the beach or your outdoor adventuring; such as a towel, sunscreen, and walking shoes or flip-flops!

Is breakfast included in the price?

Yes. There is a selection of teas and coffees, a buffet of various delicious goods as well as a cooked breakfast choice from our breakfast menu in the newly refurbished Miss Fea’s Cafe.

Can your rooms accommodate four adults?

No. We can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children max age 18 in the three suites. Over 18’s are required to stay in a separate room and are charged as adults.

What are the opening hours of Miss Fea's Cafe?

Opening Times (outside of breakfast) are currently 11:00am until 4:00pm, however stay tuned for evening Gin bar and pop up evening events with cooked food or Mezze tapas. We are a fully licensed café.

How many people does Miss Fea's Cafe seat?

The Cafe itself seats 28 at tables – with space for 7 on the lounge seats. Outside there is seating for around 30 on the lovely decking or in the sun trapped garden.

Do you offer food for special diets?

We can cater for many different dietary requirements. Dairy free, gluten free, vegetarian, and if you ask in advance we can make sure we do our utmost for any other requirements you may have.

Where does your food come from?

Wherever possible we use locally sourced seasonal produce.
